SUMMER READING PROGRAM 2024
Thanks to all who joined our Summer Reading Program. Designed for ages two to 17, we had raffle tickets that led to prizes. Let's do it again next year.
Hello Blue! Happy Retirement Connie
On Feb. 15th, 2024, we celebrated our long-time librarian Connie Acker. Connie stepped down from her leadership role Dec. 2023. Blue Cutler is the new Branch Librarian. Connie and Melissa are happy substitutes, as needed. We thank them and all our volunteers / friends for serving our community.
NEW HOURS OF OPERATION
As of Tuesday, September 16th, the Alberton Public  Library is open two days a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Last fall, the Library staff began offering Saturday hours, but patron visitation there versus extended weekday hours warranted something new!
ALBERTON LIBRARY WINS GRANTS
The Mineral Independent in June highlighted the success of Librarian Blue Cutler and the Mineral County Public Library in securing grants from the Pilcrow Foundation, Blackfoot Communications and the Town Pump for the Alberton Branch Library. Read the news here.
The RUTH SYPIAN Garden blooms outside the Alberton Public Library (entrance from Park side) on Railroad Avenue in the spring of 2020.
NEW SHELVING & CARPETING
A heartfelt thanks to our work crews who helped pack up all the books and videos (130+ boxes), front desk, chairs, and computer desks in early February of 2020.  With the help of the Petty Creek Ranch boys and our staff, we moved out and back in every single bookcase!
Thank you, too, for those who helped feed us.  The new carpet in the Alberton Library looks fantastic.

The new bookcases were built by Ralph and Steve Gregory. Thanks!
